HCG Diet - Lack of motivation, how to overcome?

Ok, I can officially say that I lost track on which VLCD day I am right now, mostly because I did not follow the protocol very well lately so I didn't count as strict diet days few of them in the past week. I have a rough estimation around 50 injections, still struggling on being POP really, I'm not sure when I'll shift my mind on being diligent on this diet, I hope soon or I'll fall again in my anxiety-depression state.
It's been few days now that I'm eating these delicious soups that I make myself with vegetables but also adding Parmiggiano Reggiano and a big spoon of sour cream. What damages my diet though are the candies, chewing gum and cream in my coffees, those things are bad for me as well as the yogurt or cottage cheese that I eat with so much cocoa powder here and there. I know exactly that I cannot buy – for any reason – these types of cheese and I still do it, I keep on fooling myself, trying to be disciplined, complaining about my poor willpower, my terrible diet results, I'm tired of not seeing improvements on the scale, I'm tired on being still in the 60-ies Kg, I need help, I need stronger motivations….but I really don't know where to find it. Today I was thinking on posting an AD in my building, on the bulletin board, to see if I can find a Weight Loss Buddy to share same goals and to be accountable to…not sure if anyone will ever reply but I think is not a bad idea overall.

HCG Diet - Bad habits and lack of energy

Based on my ideal world I was supposed to go to the gym yesterday, but really I wasn't in the mood after my night at the Ukrainian Beer Festival volunteering. It was not tiring but just a late night and feeling in need of sleeping over. Ok, yes there was also a component of slackness I admit it. I also had plans for the afternoon so for me – that I like to wind down on Sundays, it was too much to handle – sometimes I think I'm getting old; I never been so lazy in my entire life, but I also believe that these bad habits are just ….habits. If you let yourself being a couch potato for long enough that will be normality in your life, the comfort activity that we look forward to every day, feeling out of place if missing.
Sometimes I try to read my body signals and understand why I'm becoming so lazy, I still love to do the same things, I just need an extra stimulus to do it. When I was living in Rome every weekend I had my fixed schedule: going to the hair salon on Saturday morning, grocery shopping in the afternoon, cooking and TV in the evening (sometimes of course dates and friends/family get-together but not that often). Sunday morning were always dedicated to my house cleaning and related OCD activities, I always loved going shopping so often I was going to various malls, IKEA and places around the city to find a new store or a good deal, I never minded driving in Rome on weekends, it was not crazy like business days rush hours. But now, all those things that I use to do feel like a dream, that I could never find that much energy to do what I used to do. Not to mention that for years here in Canada I had a part-time second job as server that kept me awake till 3:00/4:00 AM sometimes, and I had no days off for months! Crazy just trying to convince myself that it was actually me doing that.
But my question here is: could this lack of energy due to my low calories intake? Are my adrenals getting maxed up because of the HCG Diet? Well I hope not, because based on my calculation I will be doing this VLCD for at least another month, my weight loss rate is extremely low and at this pace, I will never reach my goal in less than 30/35 days – that if I assume an average of 200gr of weight loss per day (pretty optimistic scenario).

HCG Diet - R3P2 - VLCD8

It's been already 8 VLCD days, so far so good for this Round 3 – I don't have any hunger issue, I don't feel tired or weak, my mood is good and the usual foggy head is almost gone! HCG is my miracle Diet and I can never stop to thank Dr. Simeons for his discovery.
This morning my weight was exactly like yesterday but I had +4 Moderate Ketosis so I'm assuming that if not on pounds I'm losing inches, so I'm not worried at all.
One thing that I like of the HCG Diet is the way I lose weight, it's in my most difficult places, like my big belly, I noticed that it goes down quicker when I'm on HCG rather than just me losing weight counting Calories. This is priceless for me that I always had my fat accumulated mostly on my stomach area.

I'm barely eating half of the allowed food on the Diet; I really don't feel hungry, sometimes I force myself to eat at least the protein serving, so I don't experience any deficiency. I'm taking lots of supplements too though, the Calcium and Potassium used by Dr. Bernstein, not sure if it's true but it seems helping me to get into Ketosis.

HCG Diet Reload - Considerations

Here I am again, struggling with my weight and my eating disorder, but looking forward to start again with the HCG Diet.
My parents and nieces were here for four weeks in July and I ate so badly, unable to force myself on having just healthy food…while watching them eating pancakes and poutines. Oh well, I guess I knew it, fool me that I thought I could lose weight while they were here with me, I mostly been a driver and paid few bills. Never again using my few yearly vacation days to let someone else enjoy their vacation, regardless if it's my family - I still need some relaxation time off just for me.
So my plan is to start again the HCG injections on Saturday, so I will have the weekend to load properly, my VLCD #1 should fall on Monday August 8th – if I stick to this plan.
I do have some concerns though, mostly wondering if I'm really ready to start again the Diet and also I hope I will not feel hungry as the Round 2 and with good energy and mood as I had in my first Round with HCG.
One thing that I wished I did similarly to my first Round is the Detox period - prior my injections. I removed sugar and grains before starting my VLCDs so I did not have much of a withdrawal while dieting, it was great but in the second Round I missed this part. Obviously I've no guarantee that the clean loading could affect my weight loss, lots of people don't load clean on this diet and they still have great results, so I will keep my fingers crosses, trying to limit the carbohydrates assumption at least during the Loading Phase.
Another thing that I will try to accomplish for this new Round #3 is getting rid of the coffee, or at least the use of Stevia. As sweetener Stevia is not bad, but keeps me attached to the sweet taste of things and I found it dangerous for my eating disorder, I should forget sugar forever if I want to maintain my weight in a healthy way.
Once I started my VLCD days I will try to drink detox tea before bed and take weekly my Detox Baths, not sure how much can they help but I always felt good when doing it.
On top of my HCG Diet Round #3 plan I also want to do something for my mental Detoxification, as I probably mentioned million times in this blog, my biggest issue here is my food obsession that makes me think about food 24/7; for this reason I'm thinking to join a sort of group therapy for people with Eating Disorders. I found a no-profit association that has group meetings once a week, it's not far from where I live and time is good even for people working as myself, so I'm seriously thinking to give it a try and see if – emotionally also – I can improve my relationship with food. This would be more valuable for me than losing any weight!

HCG Diet- R2P2 VLCD#17 my reflections

Another post for my blog to track all the details of my long dieting journey, it seems endless sometimes. HCG so far helped me a lot, but I have to admit, this Round 2 is definitely not like my first one. I guess this is normal, focusing for too long on something has been always an issue for me, I just regret not having completed my diet with the first round, I was doing so well! My advice is that till you're running with a good pace, keep going because if you stop chances are you won't be back on the wagon with the same enthusiasm and commitment
My biggest problem while dieting, is not so much being hungry – definitely with HCG I'm very rarely hungry – but my constant attention on food in general, on what I'm going to eat, when I'm going to…how I will cook, if I need to stop by the grocery store to buy ingredients and so on. I think ONLY about food, all the times, and this is drowning me down so much that it's really hard being focused on Dr. Simeons protocol to the letter. Anything I eat adds up at the end of the day on the amount of calories consumed, and with HCG you have to stay on the 500 Calories plan, even a small increase will reflect on your scale the day after.
This Round#2 I didn't even see any good ketosis so far, I know this is not 100% reliable, since I drink a lot during the day anyway, but last time I had great traces through almost all round. Another thing I skipped on doing this time around is my Wednesday's Detox Bath, I guess being almost in summer doesn't help but, let's face it, it's just me being lazy, nothing temperature or weather related, and I didn't even drink a single Detox tea either!
This morning my scale registered a 0.4Kg increase unfortunately, I knew I will see a gain today, yesterday I was home all day and I had so many cravings that I compensated drinking tons of decaf coffee and almond milk, not to mention the large amount of Jell-O and Snack Packs! Junk food, I should say: shame on me.
I don't care what people say but seeing a weight gain on any amount while dieting, it is extremely frustrating, on this complicated diet is alarming to me, previous to this gain I had 4 days stall, not sure if it was for my TOM or simply for my lack of judgment concerning my food/drinks.
I've moments in which I feel ok, motivated, strong and others where I feel weak, I don't trust myself and my long term commitments. I've still so much to lose and it seems so difficult even losing half pound.

In the office often people judge my diet, my weight, my approach to food. They don't understand how frustrating is being on diet, being overweight, being obsessed with food. I am alone in this battle; it's between me and my body, my brain, my cravings.

HCG Diet - VLCD #40 and P3 on the way

I'm officially out of P2, in the 72 hours that precede my Phase 3, I might classify this stage as P3 too I guess, not really sure since I'm still on a VLCD regiment till the end of tomorrow. And as VLCD today's the #40, I cannot believe 40 days have been passed by for my HCG Diet and I'm stunned on how I feel, how my diet and weight loss was. I think it's something that you need to experience to fully understand, this is really not a Diet it's a cure, a revolutionary weight loss journey that changes perspective on how I see food and fat in general.
I'm still not feeling hungry most of the day, sometimes in the morning I've some cravings; I feel a bit hungry around mid-morning, but usually a decaf coffee or my lovely chamomile fixes the problem.  I will set my LIW (Last Injection Weight) as 56.6 Kg, I feel comfortable in this weight and I'm happy to stabilize it at this level, hoping I will never go back on where I was. Of course I still need to lose some fat but I will do it in the next round of HCG, I'm still waiting for my solution to arrive from US where I ordered. I do have at least 6 weeks of P3/P4 anyway, not in a rush definitely.
In my P3 I'm not supposed to gain or lose any weight, just let my hypothalamus reset on my 56.6 Kg, I'm a bit scared I've to admit it, maintaining is the most challenging part of all for any diet. But I also think that 40 days have passed as a breeze and I'll try to be disciplined and follow Dr. Simeons advice, checking every day my weight on the scale and trying to correct any big variation that I can encounter.
I'm thinking to introduce new food very slowly, I'll continue with P2 food for now (which I love anyway), if tomorrow my weight is going down I maybe take some fat free Cottage Cheese and some extra celery to compensate with the Calories, going forward I think I will have a better idea on how my body reacts when introducing more food.  I am aware already of some type of food that I can have easily and some other not; I need to play with this to be successful.
The list of food items that I can have on P2 is so limited that makes everything really easy, you don't have to think much: it's either A or B, not much choice here. So after 40 days having baby spinach chicken salad I still love it! I look forward every day to eat it, I like my dinners too, I was never been able to have regular dinners before, always concerning that I will see the scale going up the next day, and that how it was all the times! Now the scale goes down; I cannot believe I'm eating roughly 500 Calories per day and not feeling weak, dizzy, hungry, and grumpy. HCG is changing my life and I look forward already for my next round. I'm just wishing a smooth P3!

HCG Diet - VLCD #35 - Ready for P3

Today is my VLCD #35 – I can't believe it's been already 35 days of my HCG Diet. Time really flies and so far I'm really happy with the results, with how HCG made me feel through the whole weight loss process.
In the past few days I had very small traces of Ketosis and I thought I would stop with the injections doubting the potency of my HCG solution, but no hunger, no weakness, no cravings, having lots of water convinced me to continue with HCG another couple of days or so, I think till I actually have solution to do the injections, I also noticed that the Ketones are less visible in my urine when I drink lots and lots of water before bed, which can make sense…I think.
So today I was between small and just traces of Ketosis, I'm not that hungry but I cannot be 100% sure that is not due to my long diet journey. I do feel ready for P3 though, I'm good with my weight as per today, sure I need to lose more but I'm ok on stabilizing what I've achieved so far. Most of my dresses now fit comfortably, not all maybe but enough to make me feel good about myself.
P3 will be a challenge I already know, it will be mostly about calories because I won't be any more under the easy directions of Dr. Simeons for 500 Calories and clear and concise meal plans. I'm thinking to continue with P2 food and just increase the protein dosage, maybe a bit more vegetables here and there, but without going crazy of course. I'm finding so easy prepping my meals for the next day, it takes me 2 minutes and I enjoy my spinach chicken salad as never before, I'm even loving my breakfast orange in the morning, which is odd for me that I never been a fan of oranges.
In the morning – with my HCG injection – I'm also doing a 30IU B12 injection, in a different spot with a smaller insulin syringe. B12 is something I learned with the Dr. Bernstein Diet and, after lots of researches I came to the conclusion that it's good for energy and to keep the fat moving, how much? I don't know, but it's a water-soluble Vitamin so drinking plenty of water will eliminate it anyway with no harm for my body.
When my P2 officially ends I will be for 72 hours still on the VLCD, but no HCG injections. I'm not worried about the 72hrs I have to say, I already experienced no-HCG effects for a couple of days during my period and I was ok, maybe some cravings but those come all the times, I'm taking L-Glutamine to compensate a bit, it doesn't do miracles obviously but somehow placebo-effect or not, it helps. The most important thing for me is that my binge episodes are not going to come not now or never. I want to end up feeling normal of not eating sweets or fatty junk food and not forcing myself not to do it.

This can only be achieved with time, the body needs to adjust on this new food intake lifestyle, if that makes sense, everything would become normal, reality, not privations, no frustrations on desiring what I cannot have.

HCG Diet - VLCD #19 - A B12 injection to help my fat moving

So I'm back today on my VLCD  #19, almost 3 weeks on this very low calories diet and I can say that I'm still loving it. Of course I've my moments when I feel a bit hungry, but bearable, and not that often. I believe it might be a hormonal thing though. In general I can report another small loss today, after 3 days in a row with the exact same weight! I wish I can see this steadiness during my maintenance weeks. But it seems I'm back on track on losing today, so all good.
Yesterday I was reading about the HCG potency duration, in terms of mixture of the drug. I do have a 20ml bottle for my injections, which in theory should last for 40 days, but the solution may lose its potency way earlier than that, which is a terrible waste. If I knew this thing before, I'd have purchased 2 packages of 2000IU rather than just one of 5000IU, at least I would have guaranteed a piece of mind for my daily injections going forward with the days. I've to say though I am really trying to take care on how I handle the bottle every day. It's always in a black little back covered in aluminum foil and I try to keep it outside the fridge the least that I can. So far I don't report any loss in potency, but maybe after the third week I will see some signs of lack of effectiveness, hopefully as late as possible, I don't want to waste half bottle for nothing, so much I spent for it.
I have every day a good +4 Moderate Ketosis and sometime even +6 High Ketosis, so even when I don't see any change on the scale, I assume my fat is getting released and some inches are going away.  I promised myself to keep track on my cm and my pictures during the journey, but I keep on procrastinating this thing, I know I'd like in the future to go back and see the changes, as part of my diary.
Yesterday was the first day where I felt a bit weak and hungry during the day, I was questioning the injection and almost got scared that my HCG was already gone bad; but then in the afternoon I really didn't feel hungry at all, as I said it might have been just a hormonal thing.
Because on how I felt yesterday, I got kind of scared to feel back as on my Dr. Bernstein Diet, which I won't be able to tolerate, for today I took 4 blue pills of Cal-K that Dr. Bernstein Program was giving to its patients for energy and remove fatigue, I also took a small subcutaneous injection of B12 too, different spot from the HCG but I thought the B12 would help to keep the fat moving anyway, as well as added energy for the day, the quantity was just 20IU, not much. I'll see tomorrow if it affected my weight loss in any way or not.

The HCG Diet discussions

In this post I would like to talk about the HCG Diet in general and about all the discussions I've seen around on the web and on TV. First of all, I'm a doctor or anything related to expert of nutrition and similar, I speak or I'd say write based on my personal experience.
Lots of website and videos on YouTube are totally against about this Diet, and I could understand why, first time I read: 500 Calories I thought it was insane. Whoever is against claims the fast weight loss on the restrictive daily amount of food, which is logically true; we don't need to be genius here to understand that with only 500 Calories a day I may lose weight. Often I see the results of a research conducted to a group of people who were given HCG and to some of them only a placebo, both groups lost weight without feeling hungry apparently. It might be that human brain is strong enough to elude your hunger feeling; I think it could be possible. What was not mentioned though for this research is what type of physical results they got from the Diet? Did they lose fat or muscle? Did they feel weak and tired or always energetic? Were both groups in starvation mode? How was their Ketosis?
What I want to say here is that I personally went to a very strict Diet, with nothing, just Vitamins, sure I lost weight and quickly but I was always starving, always weak, always dizzy, I couldn't think about anything else but food, that was my Dr. Bernstein Diet: a medically supervised scam!
When I started my HCG Diet, of course I had my doubts, I already lost lots of money and my health with the previous one, I am not stupid to go back and do it again. I promised myself that if I ever felt as before I'd stop immediately. Having an Eating Disorder due to a Diet is nothing I wish to anyone.
But in my experience, after a first rough VLCD day on HCG I felt amazing, absolutely amazing, full of energy and free from my food addiction. Still today, after 14 days using it I'm amazed on how I don't feel almost ever hungry, how I can still walk and do my things with no issues, my body feels amazing! I am burning fat daily with high traces of Ketosis, I'm happy for no reason; sometimes I ask myself how come you're happy?! I know it's silly but I'm studying my own body's reaction to this Diet, I'm evaluating every single day. I don't want to risk my health again, and I don't want to fail again.
So in conclusion, you can blame HCG to be a scam but I've the proof that this Diet works, not much for the weight loss, but for all the rest: I'm really feeling changes in my body and my hormones, all I can thank is HCG.

HCG Diet - VLCD #8 my reflections

It is finally Friday and I can report another loss today; so far since I started my VLCD days I lost a total of 4.4Kg that means in pounds about 9.7lb in a week. I know that the first 7/10 days the weight loss is more consistent, but that's ok, I'm happy even with just 300gr loss daily, I don't want to stress too much my body losing lots of weight so quickly. Apparently I read that the Loading Days, and how they're done, is very important for the best results of the HCG Diet. If you load properly you will lose lots the first week and with no hunger or side effects from the 500 – Calories diet. Personally I believe I ate lots of fat during my 2 days of gorging, and definitely eliminating sugar, prior to start my diet, helped me so much to avoid any craving or withdrawal.
It's my VLCD #8 today and I often smile thinking on how amazing I feel and how incredible is still to me the fact that I'm not hungry for most of the day. Sure around meals time or in the morning I get a bit hungry, but it's not bothering me at all, it's bearable, I eat my orange for breakfast my detox tea and I'm super happy, I don't even feel eating. How could this be real!?! Because I still don't know what's happening to my body and to my mind. I see my belly pouch going down every day, I don't feel weak, I'm not grumpy – quite the opposite – my skin is changing in better, I'm glad every day that I found the HCG Diet!
Tomorrow I'll be checking again my body measurements after this first week with the HCG Diet, I already know that I'll see a decrease in terms of inches, I noticed on my clothes, I can fit almost normally in some dresses, not all of them yet but I'm working on. Some people say that if you don't see a weight loss on the scale most likely you will see it on your inches, because this Diet is really all about Pounds & Inches!
This blog is for me like a sort of personal diary for my Diet-life journey, although maybe nobody will read my words, I could go back to old posts and see what was my experience at the time, and learn maybe something. For the HCG Diet there's a big community on YouTube, very nice, lots of normal people uploading videos on their channels, sharing experience and support, some people find this experience of shooting videos and following the HCG Community on YouTube a great help for accountability. I thought about on making videos too, but then I recalled my accountability with the nurses at the Dr. Bernstein clinic, and the feeling of freedom I had when I was not going there anymore or just skipping a day. When the accountability came less for me, I let all my self-control with food go away, it brought me to Binge Eat and to my disorder. I had no more no one telling me that I was not in Ketosis or that I had to stick on the strict diet, so I did whatever I wanted. For this reason, this time, I wanted to be accountable only to myself, I want to reach my goals without depending on someone else opinion if I don't do it. I might be wrong and this might not work for everyone, but I try to learn from my previous mistakes and change what I think was wrong.

HCG Diet - on my VLCD #7

So today I am on my VLCD #7 and I'm still astonished about this Diet and HCG. What I believe is absolutely amazing is the fact that I am not hungry at all. Yesterday I had barely 400 Calories and I was ok, yes maybe at night I felt a bit hungry, since I skipped dinner, but it was bearable, plus I did skip dinner by choice, I really didn't want to eat. Without HCG I would be starving every second of the day, but with this hormone I know that my fat has been released in this right moment (without me being hungry) – and that's all I need to know.
Dr. Bernstein Diet puts you in starvation mode and, although being in Ketosis could be a good thing that means you're reducing carbohydrates, being in starvation is extremely deleterious for your metabolism. Every person on a Diet wants to lose weight and fast, but nobody wants to gain it all back and some, and that's pretty much what happens if you are starving yourself. It does suck I know.
I lost pounds every day so far, it's been only few days but I can feel the effects of HCG, it affects my mood making me feel happy, everyone is telling me that they see me different and better, I feel I'm not depressed anymore about my weight, my shape, although I'm still overweight and far from the end of my Diet, but I'm extremely motivated and I believe 100% in this Protocol, I've tons of energy – something amazing for me since I'm having such little Calories per day.
I don't know which Diet are you following but if you find yourself more than often starving, well my suggestion is: quit, whatever you're shedding off with so many sacrifices, it's going to be back on pretty soon.

I've to say I did everything exactly as Protocol …and beyond. I started a pre-Diet phase detoxing with Detox Tea and Detox bath with Himalayan salt (I've one scented with Vanilla that I love). I stopped to eat sugar almost a month before starting my HCG injections, I eliminated all the carbs like bread, pasta, rice, pizza and so on, many days before my Diet. I started to add more fat to my Diet and my loading Days were clean of sugar, carbs or starchy vegetables. I tried to eat healthy fat as much as I could, gorging to capacity. That helped me to get into the Diet smoothly and with no issues whatsoever, I felt a bit hungry on the very first VLCD and after that day my food-life completely changed, my mood changed and now I'm so happy, that just thinking about what is happening to me makes me smile; this is priceless!

Second Loading Day

I'm approaching the official start of my VLCDVery Low Calories Diet under HCG and Dr. Simeons Protocol. Today is my Second Loading Day, I'm definitely less hungry than yesterday and I do not want to eat much, I believe is mostly due to all the fatty food I had. I'm drinking lots of water though, I guess it's a normal reaction to all this fat I'm eating, and I feel always thirsty. I had an increase of 2.1 Kg today and my BMI was the same as yesterday, strangely my body fat was just a tiny bit less, which I think it's just a machine error! I planned to check my BMI every day, together with my weight, the inches of body fat lost I might check on a weekly basis rather than daily, I don't think I would see any substantial change every day anyway. I also want to take some pictures today, which introduces the begin of the real diet at the maximum weight I ever had in my life, I do hope to see drastic changes in the coming weeks. I planned to take pictures of my body changing on average every week; I might not do it every week if I don't see big losses. From my previous experience with Dr. Bernstein Diet often I did not have any weight loss, sometime due to certain type of food that was not absorbed by my body in a good way (see tomatoes), sometimes when I reached a former weight that I had in the past; those stalls are the most annoying ones, it might take days before you can see the scale going down again. I think I kind of know now where I might find in the future a former weight, I can be totally wrong but I bet I will have hard time to go down 62Kg, 58Kg and 55Kg; I maintained in my past those values for a while so my body could remember and stop there again.
Sometimes I wonder if this new Diet and the fact that will bring me again into ketosis and starvation mode, could somehow generate new and strong urges to Binge. That's a fear for me; because they can halts the Diet and the emotional stress will be huge. Some people reported to have actually trained themselves using the HCG Diet, to stop bingeing. For me it's a new experience with the Eating Disorder consciousness, so I will have to see myself. I did though some sort of withdrawal from sugar and carbs already. I wanted to start my HCG Diet with no sugar and very low carbs intake; otherwise the withdrawal done during a 500 Calories Diet might be super tough for me that I'm a chocolate addicted.
Today I'll go to the grocery store to buy some organic vegetables and some chicken breast to prepare my meals for tomorrow. With my previous Dr. Bernstein Diet I use to prepare lots' of dishes in advance, some of them I use to freeze, but most of the time I frozen already washed and pre-cut vegetables. This time I might not do it, I would prepare my meals on a daily basis mostly. The reason why I do not want to have food pre-cooked is because I got sick of it! Eventually the frozen vegetables and my dishes tasted very poorly and I never enjoyed eating it. I could tell the difference between meals that were coming just from the stove than one that was coming out from the microwave. I might have stated the obvious here but that's ok, it still explains my point of view…

The only thing that I might prepare in advance is the chicken breast raw meat, I can buy it and remove the extra fat – if any – weight it and save in plastic bags in the freezer. That should not be too bad once defrosted. At the end the amount of food that I eat every day it's so little that a meal shouldn't take that long to prepare, why bother to do too many things in advance?! There are only 2 meals a day: lunch and dinner, and I must to say, I'm almost happy not to have breakfast. I was tired of preparing omelet during my Dr. Bernstein Diet; I'm glad I can skip altogether or just have a tea and an apple.

First Loading Day done

My first Loading Day is done; it was almost painful by the end of day. I truly believe I had a couple of Binge episodes during the day and it was concerning me a bit, since I'm going to approach a very low calories Diet starting from tomorrow, I cannot deal with urges to binge. I hope I won't.
This morning the scale reported an increase of 2.1 Kg, which is almost scary to me, I was expecting the weight gain with all the food I had yesterday but somehow I was hoping the HCG will give me the benefit of keeping the weight off, oh well maybe tomorrow, who knows…
My injection procedure today was terrible I have to admit. I took the little vial from the fridge and I gently shake it, thinking that the HCG powder might be residing on the bottom of the vial; after that I took one of my insulin syringes of 1ml and I started to draw – what to me looked as mixed solution, after removing the needle from the vial I found it completely crocked! I must to say those syringes are extremely cheap and I'm already thinking on buying better ones for my next injections. Anyhow, I decided to try to straighten the needle and continue with my procedure, so I did, but I couldn't tell if there was just air in the syringe or there was HCG in it, seriously it was hard to see due to the grey colour of the syringe! So basically I proceeded injecting only air in my belly….yes that was what I stupidly did! So, afraid of the subcutaneous air I had just injected in my tummy, I had to continue with I was trying to achieve there: having my HCG daily dosage. The second time I pay more attention on how I was drawing the solution from the vial, I was able to see liquid going inside the syringe, so I took around 52/53 units from the bottle and injected again in my belly, but in a different spot. BTW yesterday injection gave me already a big bruise, what a surprise. I decided to increase slightly my dosage today, thinking about the amount of HCG that can get wasted in the top of syringe and also because I wanted to be sure I had enough HCG in my body to saturate my blood with all the fatty food I'm eating in these 2 Loading Days. Hopefully my assumption can work for me; I figured I might need to understand exactly what dosage works for me just going forward with the VLCD days. This is actually a good point on why is not advisable to pre-prepare all the syringes with HCG solution in advance, if you need to change the dosage it might be impossible to do so without wasting HCG. The required daily amount is so little that really working around it, it's definitely not easy and the margin of error is always quite relevant.
Someone might argue why I don't use the drops, way easier in terms of administering. Well I do not believe in drops; it's scientifically proved that HCG cannot be absorbed in the body via mouth, it simply doesn't; it needs to be injected every day. HHCG is the Homeopathic version, which is just a scam from my point of view, there's no HCG whatsoever in this product, so why bother using it?
