Why I have a white-coated tongue while Fasting?

So curious on why my tongue is white when I’m fasting I did some researches and try to find a scientific reason for it; I was never sold on the detoxing through your tongue theory. I found different medical answers basically reporting similar responses, this is a simple one found at this link:

"Your tongue is covered with little finger-like projections called papillae. These are what give it a rough velvety surface. They are not the same thing as taste buds!
The papillae themselves are coated with cells; technically stratified squamous epithelial cells, but don't get put off by this detail.
As we eat normally, those cells are sloughed off the tongue (and the other tissues of the mouth) by abrasion with food as it goes past. A mouthful of dry tortilla chips is quite abrasive. So they are continually being formed to replace the ones which are lost.
After a day or so without eating, those cells are still being formed; your tongue doesn't know you are fasting. As a result, a thicker layer than normal builds up, giving a whitish appearance.
After a few normal mouthfuls, the surface cells have been abraded away normally and your tongue looks pink again."

So basically my tongue is white just because, since I’m fasting, all those cells that cover my papillae are keeping on being produces and never scraped off. Now that makes perfect sense to me. When Dry Fasting the white-coated tongue appears way faster than a Water Fast, I guess because somehow the water, the lemon scrape off some of the cells being produced, so the whitening process is kind of slower.

My modified Water Fast Day #2

This time around is not a regular Water Fast for me, I’m still taking my tinctures, supplements and I planned to have once a day my mud pudding; I’m hoping that those additional ingredients will help me to cleanse my body in addition of not having any solid food.
I begin my mornings with the Bell Kidney tea with my tinctures and the juice of half lemon; during the day I drink only water, often with lemon juice in it; plus I take all the supplements here and there. When I go home from work I take again my tinctures but without the kidney tea, just as shot, oh man they are so strong, I can feel it in my throat and after just one minute in my body, a couple of times I felt dizzy after taking it, not sure why – but it happens only when I drink it without the tea, so maybe is the alcohol in it. I usually wait from 30 minutes to 1 hour before eating my pudding; it is made with 2 cups of grape juice and my 3 magic super powders mix.
The reason why I’m ok taking this extra sugar is to avoid very high Ketosis that I would reach otherwise with a Water-Only Fast. Apparently Candida can feed on ketones too, I’m still not 100% sold on this theory but I want to give it a try and see how I feel, certainly I can say that the tinctures are doing its job, my anxiety is way less lately and for me is a great relief.
I don’t feel much hungry today, I would eat an entire truck of cheeseburgers but I can easily handle not to do that. I noticed that if I don’t think about food or see, smell, look at pictures, it is a bit easier; I think the part of me that feel deprived comes out screaming to eat, to enjoy what I like the most, of why this punishment, but I love myself more when I’m not overweight and I can wear everything I have in my closet rather than struggling every morning on what to do to “cover” my huge belly.
Sometimes I think that those uncontrollable cravings I have could be hormone related; the way I feel once a month or so it’s becoming a clear pattern so I wonder if the pre-menopause has nothing to do with it. I’m still young to think about menopause but can be just a hormone change that is giving me not only cravings but all those negative thoughts about everything and everyone, that also negatively impact the health of adrenal glands and the production of cortisol sky rocks for the “benefit” of the Candida. Well no matter how I put it... I’m screwed!

My daily struggles

I am here again struggling to start another Water Fast when my hormones destroyed all sacrifices I made last week with my 9 days Water Fast.
Some days I feel really hopeless, some others I try to find inside me the strengths to keep going to have happy thoughts and good intentions for my future weight loss journeys. When it is going to end? When I will achieve my goal weight and fight to keep it? Most probably never, I know it’s not an optimistic way of seeing things but that’s how I feel today unfortunately.

I know now that this is not actually me talking but my hormones; once a month or so I feel very negative, not only for my weight loss but for everything; I lack in motivation, I see all dark and I put in discussion everything of my life. My job, my city, my boyfriend, the way I look, the way I dress, the things I do every day, it feels I’m the worst critic of myself, nothing that I do is good and nobody around me appreciate me nor I deserve them.
Being a woman sometimes really sucks.

Today I’m very negative regarding my relationship; it’s been 5 months now that we’re dating, and although it’s not a long period by all means, I don’t feel very positive about how things are going. He’s a great man, very kind and sweet, and really I’m very lucky that I found someone like him, knowing how difficult is to meet a good man in this city. However I feel our story is boring sometimes; I feel he is not that much into me as I am not into him. But I wonder if the fact that we don’t see each other that often might be a culprit of our boredom? I also think that could be the age after all. The more we grow up the more we tend to handle relationships differently, maybe more rationally. We don’t jump into anything suddenly anymore, - well at least I don’t - I try to develop something taking my time, being conscious on what I’m doing, without rushing anything too fast. I want this story to last for long time, I don’t want to get burned but at the same time I do want to feel in love with him, otherwise there won’t be any future, regardless the pace that I’ll take to let everything develop by its natural course.
Today I was thinking on going to a walk-in clinic to get prescribed some test for the Candida Overgrowth (COS), not sure if they will look at me and think that I’m crazy but at least I would have tried. It really bothers me the fact that I feel the urge to go and buy chocolate bars and m&m’s like I was a 12 years old; I cannot stand this absurd behavior at my age, it’s just ridiculous. It must be something that can help me… Today for instance, I had basically lunch with a full bag of cookies, m&m’s and OH-Henry chocolate candies. How can this been happening to me? I was so happy of my Raw Vegan Diet, and frankly I still am, but I wasn’t eating so badly since months now, I really don’t know what’s happening to me. I feel disgusted now, my stomach is killing me and I deserve everything really.
Some time I envy people that don’t have issues with food, that they can eat just when they are hungry, with no major cravings or mental addictions, I’m really jealous of this type of gift.

Bone Broth Fast - Day #1 will I keep going with it?

Today is my first day of an anomalous fast that I decided to try: a bone broth fast. I started to drink chicken bone broth today, only that and some water – occasionally with lemon. I heard so many amazing things about the bone broth, how the collagen helps the skin, what great pack of essential amino acids it has, great for joints, for the health of skin, hair and nails and the list goes on and on. So I decided to give it a try for at least 4 days, however just one day into it I'm not sure I want to keep on going for another 3 days. The reason why I don't feel going forward with this fast is mostly due to the large amount of sodium contained in the bone broth. I bought the broth in a local restaurant nearby, I thought I would save some money and it would be more natural than the store-bought one. It is extremely salty though, especially for me that I'm not used to salt anymore with a Raw Vegan diet. I also don't feel very comfortable going back on having animal products, even if it's just the broth of it. My main reason for choosing to try this fast was also because I was reading online and watching YouTube videos mentioning that it can be very beneficial to fight the Candida Albicans, now here I have my serious doubts that it can do anything to the Candida in just only 4 days but I guess doesn't hurt to try after all. Today I'm working from home so I didn't mind having a warm broth as meals during the day but I might not bring it with me tomorrow in the office, I will have a cup in the morning here as "breakfast" and continue my day drinking only water.
One thing that I'm already noticing is that I really look puffy now, most likely due to the high amount of sodium in the broth. I hope drinking plenty of water will help me release a bit of the puffiness in the next few hours. Doing a bone broth is definitely easier than a regular Water Fast, I didn't feel any hunger so far, I don't feel tired; apparently another good thing of a bone broth fast is that there should not be any muscle loss while fasting – because of the high protein content. It's been not even 24 hours in this fast so I really cannot say much, I guess in few days I should have a better picture, if I will keep on doing it. I'm definitely thinking on continuing with a Water Fast once I enter in a good ketosis.
I was going through my old posts, while I was Water Fasting and I felt missing those feelings, I gained weight in the past weeks, if I don't have a meal plan I usually tend to binge and some days I can't really discipline myself on portion control. Right now I feel almost depressed, I looked at myself in the mirror and I saw again that desperate girl fighting for her weight loss in so many crazy ways, so tenaciously and always with scarce results. Sometimes I think that this is just my life, dealing every single day with what I can eat, what not and how to amend on my bad food choices. Some days the only thing I want is sweets, bananas and lots of nuts, peanuts, I want to stuff myself with food full of fatty things, healthy yes but not conform to my diet life style. Some days I think I'm a lost cause and I should just surrender to my weaknesses.
