With the 2019
approaching soon, I decided to have a New Year’s resolution starting a new
prolonged Fast - mostly to shed some of my dreaded
extra pounds and also to kick in autophagy to help my body get rid of some unhealthy
cells – possibly.
This time
around I don’t want to poison myself
with tons of decaf coffee cups and creamer; I’m working on quitting coffee for
now. I want to start this Fast with only water - and maybe salt here and there
to maintain good levels of electrolytes, since I’m aiming for a long Fast.
This
morning I bought on amazon a Body Fat scale, so I can track also my BMI and
body Fat % during the Fast. I’m planning on taking various types of measurements
before, during and after my Water Fast.
Here’s a
list of tests I would like to have done in this new fast journey, divided by
timelines.
BEFORE the Fast
- Blood Pressure
- Glucose Level
- Body Weight
- BMI
- Body FAT %
- Blood Work
- Body measurements
DURING the Fast
- Body Weight
- BMI
- Body Fat %
- KetonesEvery 10 days / 2 weeks
- Blood Pressure
- Glucose Level
AFTER the Fast
- Blood Pressure
- Glucose Level
- Body Weight
- BMI
- Body FAT %
- Blood Work
- Body measurements
I will look
around if I can find a different type of Ketostix, where I can also check ph
levels and protein in the urine – I believe they’re called dipstick – but I
would know better once asked in a pharmacy.
Wish me
luck! I haven’t fasted on Water-Only since a while; I hope I will find the strengths
this time around.
